Their Legacy, Your Next Steps
After a loss: How to begin the claims process.
If you've recently lost a loved one, you may be eligible to file claims if you are the beneficiary and they were covered by any accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, life insurance, or AD&D benefits.
To get started, please reach out to your local HR team. They can guide you through the claims process, help you gather the necessary documentation, and connect you with the appropriate providers.
Update your benefits coverage.
Losing a covered dependent is considered a qualifying life event, which means you can adjust your benefits outside of the annual enrollment period. This may include updating your medical, dental, vision, or life insurance coverage to reflect your current needs and updating your beneficiaries for all policies.
View the qualifying life events page to learn more.
